Summer Greetings, Friends, The FCOA had a very remarkable FY24, ending on June 30, 2024. We would like to highlight just a few items of interest from the year. The “Live Well Amesbury – A Feel Good Festival” was a huge success in September. Not only did we see a large increase in the amount of sponsorship dollars, we had a record number of attendees at the event. It was wonderful to see so many families with young children gathered to have fun and learn about healthy lifestyle choices. A huge thanks to all who helped out, COA staff, FCOA volunteers, all of the non-profit organizations who participated, and especially Charlene Dolan who chaired the event. Don’t miss our repeat performance on September 7,2024.

In Memoriam: Marilyn Klypka-Simpson
The FCOA would like to express our most sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Marilyn Klypka -Simpson. She will be sorely missed by all who participated in any way at the Amesbury Council on Aging. We are twice blessed, both to have known her and to be given the gift of donations in her memory by her family.

Friends of the Council on Aging
The board usually meets the first Monday of the month at 9:00 AM in the Game Room at the Costello Transportation Center. The dates of the meetings will be on the COA calendar.
